What I mean is that they don't use the visual novel aspects to their fullest potential, and it worked for some parts (Lobo/Ruina and their more minimalist style), but it often cracks and feel cheap in Limbus, imo

But sometimes the narration just.. forgets about stuff? Or just moves on?? And comes back like nothing happened??? It feels so weird.
This + some not so subtle lines or jokes, add to a read that kind of asks my brain to shut off a bit I guess

The sense of "place" of scenes especially, and I kind of get why.. writing more than 13 characters at the same time and being able to feel them is hard, and giving them importance for that long even more.

Yeah my bad I meant in Limbus, didn't mean to frame it like that.
However I still think that some flaws existed in Ruina but are way more noticeable in Limbus, it just wasn't the style Ruina relied on.

On my way to read this canto's part 3, grumble a bit, getting my ass kicked, and probably still crying at the finale, and everything will be forgiven.. the cycle continues... I think...

Imo they never were really strong as anything other than writing cool things and eventually being a bit emotional in the final parts (with some rare exceptions). I still like it a lot, but damn, the fact that some flaws are still never addressed can be sad yeah

I much prefer the goofus type when they focus on what their autism locked them in to

It also feels obligated to over-explain because so much stuff happens and it's nigh impossible to get it all in one watch, yet so much scenes would have shined with a bit more silence or contemplation

And despite everything, a character can say a single well placed sentence and I cry for the night
