At 79, Viv Peto is proof punk has no age limit. The Oxford-based washboard player in horMones punk band picked up her instrument a year ago.

“Now I’m old, all constraints are gone and I can do what I like,” she said.

We’d started as a knock-off Dr Feelgood, but once we came up with Love Like Anthrax we realised we had to dump all the other songs and write more like that. Then Damaged Goods opened the floodgates – we brought funk to punk.
