Thomas Lackmanns „Mendelssohns Gärten“ wird von Stefan Rebenich im FAZ-Feuilleton besprochen: "Der historische Erkenntnisgewinn des Buches ist bescheiden. Der Autor richtet seinen Ehrgeiz lieber auf die Präsentation salopper Formulierungen. [...] Aus dem Thema hätte man mehr machen können."

On October 14, 1890, a monument to Gotthold Ephraim Lessing was unveiled in Berlin (near Lennéstraße).
