"Well intentioned??" Only the worst people I know are gung-ho about STEM focused education. Sure, they call it "STEM focused," but have you ever dug into what that meant to those preaching it? Minimal Language Arts, no traditional arts, no history.

The VA is criminally underfunded. If we didn't send money to Ukraine, would the VA be better funded? Hell no! The money would go to some boondoggle of a new weapons system project.

Dude. This is a stupid comparison. We could cut the military budget in half and that wouldn't help the homeless. That surplus would just be used for more tax breaks for the wealthy. You know this. At least the Ukrainian money is helping people in need fight against a monster.
