He/Him, Ace (Aego). Fleeing from Musk's midlife crisis. Terminally online lefty. Rides motorcycle, paints/plays 40k, anxious about everything.

Profile Picture from @liricita.
I get, who wants to see the French that much (this is a joke), but it's so hard to argue against pretty much all of their wins. They're well deserved. The competition was stiff and they still somehow managed to kill it in a year of bangers.

A lot of reasons, but being honest, I think a big part of it is how conditioned people are to associate having been wrong with failure, so a lot of people entrench to defend their own sense of self and prevent cognitive dissonance. "He can't be a pedophile, I wouldn't vote for a pedophile!" Etc.

Like I get it, he has profit motive from private health insurance existing. But even as fear mongering about SPHC, it's just already the sordid reality of PHC. Even with employer support, it's a large part of your paycheck, unreliable, and requires jumping through hoops. It's just so out of touch.

Bro really thought he was cooking with this hypothetical and then just described the current health care system for 99% of Americans, except they have the pleasure of paying out the nose for it and having it not be guaranteed.

There is no world where any of this will be affordable at all, but by God I want it.

Yeah I didn't mean it in a derogatory or negative way. There's nothing wrong with makeup or anything. I just couldn't think of another synonym off hand.

The people with big production teams and/or cults of personality must. Like, if he doesn't already, Jimmy Beast is for sure on my list of suspects.

What do you mean the people I watch aren't machines captured in time for my amusement?

Occam's razor? Never heard of her. I do like Jumpin' Thruhoops though, she's a real sweety.

As somebody in Buffalo, mercifully they didn't try to hit us with pizza, but the quality drop was so fast, it's insane. Burger King did them so dirty.

Much of the fallout for smaller players is hidden, quiet, and requires digging for. Thematically appropriate, as nobody remembers random cog #74328, but in an open world game, can be really easy to miss and "feel".

And I don't mean that as a criticism (of anything other than current systems), it's actually very impressive to make a dystopia that feels so real and analogous that you're already numb to it. But I do wish we saw and dealt with more of the realities of being a normal person in setting, still.

I'll admit, I'm in a position to potentially get a new phone. But every "upgraded" model is a slight CPU bump and then tons of AI bloat features that I just don't want. Why the fuck would I pay ~1k for something I don't want? Make something I do, then we'll talk.

Yeah man, I wonder where all those people who have limited time and no safety net as a result off lack of assets and low benefit jobs are. Why aren't they showing up to all these daytime events? The world may never know.
