It is incumbent on every single decent-minded, responsible British citizen to do *everything* they can to prevent Farage from gaining power. It couldn’t matter more for the future wellbeing of our country. Him as PM is too grotesque for words. Trump is a genuinely comparable case study.

It was a dumb idea then and it is a dumb idea now. Voted for by dummies.

Fuckwits indeed. I hate what they did.

Phillips, what is the deal now with US bases in Europe? Can Europe evict?

Is it time to call it an emergency yet? Is it time for our prime minister to level with us yet? Is it time to reconsider our position with Brexit yet? Or our we going to continue playing dead and hope we dont get savaged?

Entirely predictable and, indeed, predicted in 2016. I am very much the lay person with only a superficial understanding of international relations and geopolitics but even I could see the danger back then.

I bet they feel as grubby as hell after being in that room with those snakes. I deserve that smoke. Good luck Greenland 🇬🇱 and Denmark 🇩🇰 and God help us all.

Breaking news US special forces attempting to board. I have no solid info on location of the tanker but could hazard a guess due to presence of Special Ops aircraft out of Wick airport of all places! Does anyone know coordinates of tanker or link to open source tracker?

My hope that this is all aimed at boxing Trump/Putin into a corner whilst buying time for European leaders to adjust to new geopolitical realities, divest from US, form new alliances. My fear is that they are paralysed and this is all they have.

Instead, we appear to be frozen. Surely there comes a point where we have to take a stand one way or another? Or are we simply hoping to survive at any cost?
January 5, 2026 at 11:54 AM
The only way forward is to level with the people, laying all the cards on the table, declare an emergency and get down to working with Europe urgently on a security and infrastructure solution that omits US tech or involvement. My fear is that it will not be possible due to resources.

We know the US has us by the short and curlies. Confront Trump and he will harm our economy, leading to further hardship and a Reform majority with his puppet Farage in gov. Roll over and we lose everything we ever fought for and we live in the dystopia we feared.

The Government coming off X is the bare minimum and realistically at this point I think we should seriously be looking at taking enforcement action against the company, in line with the Online Safety Act and VAWG Strategy. I will be pressing the Government on this when Parliament returns next week.
