I don't judge its validity as a movie (the trailer seems to suggest reading the Odyssey with a heavy focus on the psychological aftermath of a war, and that is an interesting take that justifies the much more dour scenery) but I just don't really like Nolan's style, I think

Interestingly, there was a pseudohistory theory going around in the 90s / 2000s, by an Italian engineer, claiming that the Homeric poems actually took place in the Baltic

It's clearly a subtle commentary on the blending of boundaries between the robotic and the human that the whole series is built on 👉😏

Honestly, when I found out he taught the Athenian equivalent of Pinochet and also Alcibiades, the charge "corrupting the youth" seemed to have much more weight

Genuinely loved going through collections of Gothic architecture and stuff for a possible Rats in the Walls adaptation, and if I hadn't I would never have found this picture that goes insanely hard
