yesterday, i remembered that the coding aspect of my bachelor thesis was actually one of the best parts. so to prevent this project from slowly dying away on my laptop, i looked into it again, to be able to eventually put it to actual use - for myself and hopefully others as well :D

currently working on my website purrplepixel.com and looking forward to adding more actual content to the site soon. i want this site to find a place in the space of those wonderful sites on the indie web. i'm currently both writing and collecting stuff.. let me know if you have any suggestions too!

i love to find little projects like this. they may not be much, but someone thought it would be cool to create this, and then someone else like me finds it and thinks, yeah this is really cool - and that's just great.

My project folder needed some tidying up and re-structuring for some time now. Last weekend I started and I think today I concluded the restructuring ftm.
Among various other things, I found an alignment chart for space sci-fi stories, that I made a while ago (purely based on vibes ofc)

This morning wrote down my thoughts for the in-process video on the intro animation. It's kinda funny how taking a step back to document the process actually helps shaping the project itself. I already feel more capable to actually finish the animation 🥳

After continuing to work on the intro animation today, I realised that I allocated too little time to this project, to make it look the way I want to...
So I decided to make an in-process video about it instead, allowing me to get sth done & keep my project schedule as well🥳

I worked on a little shelf for my workshop today: cutting both the board and some weight supporting elements. Only after putting it into place, I realised that the supporting elements are too short... 🤡

But at least I was able to finish my workshop sign:

Today I was able to finish editing my channel introduction video. It may not be great, but it's a project finished and that felt great.

sometimes it's difficult to keep track of what i'm working on, when it feels like i'm working on everything at the same time.

to fix that, i will now try to externalise my process with daily-ish update posts, right here on bluesky. stay tuned! 🧙🏼‍♂️

last week i encountered a machine-specific issue, due to which i was unable to start the browser extension i'm developing.

three hours and a significant amount of unhelpful error messages later, i found the reason: an empty locale folder 🤡

recommendation: dont use folders as reminders...
