* has outdated passwords for git operations, like cloning, pushing, etc. You can still log into your account with your password ofc.
Also there’s a way to stop getting password prompts every time if you want help with that :)

This isn’t a Linux/Git issue, but specifically a GitHub issue.
GitHub has outdated passwords in exchange for “personal access tokens”, which let you get much more custom with permissions.
