Thanks. I just seemed to remember. Grusin can do an awful lot with nothing but a piano (as in The Firm). Do you play an instrument?

A great movie. I loved the singing and the two-piano arrangements. Can't remember which music heavyweight wrote those arrangements, maybe Dave Grusin? Anyone know if Michelle Pfeiffer sang from an early age or got into later to be an actress with more skills?

Funny, 13 and 67. You must be kind of a natural. There's someone in my writers group (in Worcester, MA) who is a ways into her ya fantasy novel. I'm not much of fantasy reader, but her world-building is very good.

You've seen more live stuff than me. But I grew up in a suburb of NYC and as a teen I belonged to a group called Jazz Interactions. For almost no money, I could go to Sunday concerts in a small club and look over the piano player's shoulder. Man, you're versatile.

Hi John. Did you get to see Mingus live? Do you play an instrument? I played keys professionally a ways back, not now. Couldn't even find people to jam with for fun here in Worcester, MA. I used to live in LA, where the music scene was bigger.

I got to shake hands with Mingus, for a quick second. I took piano lessons with Jaki Byard, who drove me to his Mingus gig at the Top of the Gate, in NYC.

Funny you should mention AI. I'm writing a screenplay about it. It means well, but it doesn't have the human judgment to know how far is too far.
