The older I get the more I realize a lot of these old white dude authors of the 19th/20thC are the literary equivalent of Brussels sprouts: people consumed them because there wasn't much else but we've made improvements in taste since then and we don't have to subject ourselves to this anymore

Let me tell you what, volunteering at a zoo on a school holiday is WILD. In the summers I'll usually talk with a few dozen kids, and now that school's in session it's about a dozen, mostly pre-schoolers.

Today? We talked with over 150 kids. It was great, don't get me wrong! But WOAH.
