It was sad that he only did one more race and then quit for good. Could have easily been champion in that mad season. BUT, imho this was one of Prost’s greatest races but it’s rarely remembered as such. He was mega on that day.

Really loved the latest episode on the golden generation of French drivers. Laffite and Depailler were among my heroes when I started following F1! Still have the Ligier Gitanes stickers from 1979!! Precious things.
