Yes it was fun while it lasted but it is definitely almost over. For tracking people’s new publications it is still more effective than this site though. Wish people were more active posting their pubs here, too.

HUMBLEBRAG: exactly four years ago today I held my inaugural lecture as professor at Maastricht University. Today I received word that the university has appointed me permanently. Could not be more proud!

Amazed by the current #ai panic. In this interview from 2019 (in which I discuss our research on the impact of ai on work) I warned that underestimating ai’s disruptive potential would be a mistake. It got lukewarm and sceptic responses, if any. Now, the other extreme.
Don’t panic. Just prepare.
