Definitely French. French culture is such a major part of it's inspiration

Did you ever try the PS2 prequel?

F.E.A.R. Platinum is $0.99 on GOG https://buff.ly/486DbSR #ad

will be added to GOG Preservation Program by next month ("Originally scheduled for a later timeframe, we’ve decided to accelerate this release to properly recognize Monolith’s contributions to gaming.")

Common sense and EA don't always see eye to eye

Also if a reviewer isn't already interested in the type of game they're reviewing, their review is meaningless. Only reviews done by people who actually care about the topic of discussion and really care about what they're talking about and can judge it fairly amongst it's peers

In general the 3rd category is a catch-all, it just needs to be easy to play a bit here and there without consistency. No major narrative to follow and simple enough gameplay that a month break won't have you trying to relearn how it plays or get as good as you were

Regarding those 3 from before I'm currently doing...

1. Was Blue Fire, but that will change to something else soon like Astro Bot or a horror game

2. Final Fantasy VII Classic, next is Ace Attorney 2

3. Ecco the Dolphin 3D, next is probably Mario + Rabbids or Ace Combat Zero

Also more recently I've been far more open to the idea of dropping games. If I feel I'm forcing my way through them instead of excited for the next chance to play, guillotine it. I just dropped Blue Fire despite loving so much about it because the devs neglected to add a map so I get lost constantly

Typically I have 3 games across 3 categories then when I'm going to play games I do the current one in the category I'm in the mood for

1. Action: More interactive, reflexes matter, etc

2. Relaxed: Thinking Focused, turn based, etc

3. Brain Off: Long breaks fine, minimal story, etc
