I have always been confused on how those rules work 🤔

the breadth of what we get now ui/presentation-wise is so rad and interesting in a way that we did not get back then because publishing a game was like 100000x harder. we're feastin' better than ever (imo!) but the stuff at the top is without a doubt full of capitalist slop rot

Love the video and my god yes, the reality of why the industry doesnt do cool UIs is sad and stupid but I loove games that still put a lot of care and atention into the UI in this era
