yep. Why is Homer a Kaiju? So he can battle a generic evil monster alongside Godzilla and a Megazord. I've not seen The Simpsons in a while, but I don't think that makes any sense for his character.

Crossovers can work, but there has to be more to it than just a bunch of intellectual properties thrown together without any real thought or context behind it. AvP is legit, Endgame was actually a culmination of many of those characters' journeys, and even Link in SC2 had great background writing.

Interesting. Given the circumstances, I wonder if it is worth going through the PEGI or ESRB process in order to somewhat force Valve's hand. Not ideal, but perhaps preferable to not getting on Steam at all. I would chip in for a kickstarter for that, I'm sure others would.

I still think the trick with Indie Sequels is position/name it so that fans of the original recognise it as a sequel, but people unaware of the original won't.

I'm thinking IE Steamworld Dig/Heist, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, 20XX/30XX, Rocket League etc.
