My method is books listening (convert text to audio using TTS on a PC and at night use smartphone app to listen, with sleep timer to avoid hearing damage). Book should be interesting enough to grab attention for hours (and thus cut off my own thoughts) but not too interesting so I can fade away.

Mmm, but it feels like any VR headset with decent resolution can do that, e.g. this feature not exclusive to very expensive and quite heavy Apple Vision Pro, if this 3D content is not locked in Apple ecosystem...

The rarest kind of VR headsets with full facial tracking - from mouth to eyebrows... for a humble $2K. Well, at least its weight is "only" 550g (compare to Quest Pro) and 4K OLEDs are neat XD.
