like being a leftist is dorky and requires learning facts and caring about things. being a nazi lets you act disaffected and just requires you to laugh scornfully at anyone uncool enough to care, which is cooler, which makes it easy to adopt if you want to be a cool kid.

I don't think it works as well for your focus on satire but it /can/ be a lot of fun to design postcapitalist dystopias. Lots of ways to design a future society that hits cyberpunk vibes without being a realistic capitalist hellscape.
