Wintering.
He ghosted me AGAIN six months later. Incroyable.

Oh, right, Bluesky.

Look, I recognize #millennials will be the last generation to want things in desktop format, but I would really like to not need a phone to do #everything and instead be able to just do things on my computer and then walk away.

He definitely ghosted me. It sucks because I projected a lot of ‘Lex gets her groove back’ on our texted plans, and then it was just yanked away.

Fundamentally, I need to feel wanted.

Plus I’m just obsessively checking my phone to see if the guy I’m 99 percent sure has ghosted me is going to have a change of heart. A flip phone would be less engaging.

I can’t wait to give up my smartphone again. I keep wondering what changed last year, why I’ve been more depressed, more sedentary, more dissatisfied but less motivated - it’s the phone. Just not meant for me.

Also I am sofa king sick and my play is this weekend and I’m not sure I’m gonna make it so that’s fun too

I think we should get our friends’ contact info and simply stop using social media, but that no one listens to me is why I’m still here myself, so.

Pretty sure there’s nowhere on the internet that doesn’t make me feel bad, so, like, why do I hang out here?

Is #bluesky useable on #desktop?

I’ve decided I’ll be giving up my smartphone again, deactivating my Instagram, and returning to tumblr. It’s 2009 all over again, baby.

Now that the government is perfect, I assume we’ll all happily relinquish our guns. Right?

Here we go again.

I went over the character limit in my initial draft of this post and rewrote this several times to fit the character limit, unlike those who chain extended ramblings together across posts. Where are those who parse every sentence to perfection? Those are who I want with me.
I have followers but I suspect they never see my posts. It’s naive to think Bluesky isn’t just as interested in highly curated feeds that include corporate presence and guerrilla advertising, furthering our crystallizing echo chambers. I think the only rebellious act today is leaving the internet.

Oh. Wow. What a surprise. #politicaltheater
Looking forward to P. Trump gleefully returning TikTok to its base in a likely successful attempt to appeal to the youth.

I have been a bit bothered that all my real friends and family follow me on insta, so I do curate myself through pretty pictures to seem better adjusted than I really feel; at least here I can be as text-based and sardonic as I please.

Is there some sort of phone feature that prevents people from proofreading? ‘Wahhh, autocorrect!’ Okay, but there’s no autosubmit. Take five seconds to reread what you’re about to submit and marvel at how rarely you have to blame autocorrect for your easily-corrected mistakes.

Get off the internet get off the internet get off the internet. This way of life is very young, and you don’t need it to survive. Leave the internet culture behind. Let it be a utility hand in hand with electricity as it runs your TV. #touchgrass

I think I’ll be defecting from the internet again. The era of online fame seeking has passed, there’s too much illiteracy and too many bots, and I’ve never liked it here much anyway. I’ve had this smartphone for 14 months now, and its biggest contribution to my life has been GPS and sending gifs.

Happy Eve of a random day in winter that Pompilius decided should indicate an entirely new year.
