As I've said earlier, his role now is completely different from his Hungary/Leipzig ones hence the emphasis on G/A needs to reduce. We missed him in the first half vs Arsenal.
This also retains his transition threat and ball striking. Running transitions from the left half-space would open up his angles for passes and shots.
Slot, however, prefers him on the right because it helps cover Salah defensively.

The Szoboszlai Conundrum
It seems that Dom is comfortable playing on the left-hand side, esp in the half-spaces. However, Slot has always played Dom on the right of center.
Why?
