Tonight, Blayre and I are praying for the two PA troopers who were shot on duty this evening in Chambersburg.

Our police officers serve our communities everyday, often times putting themselves in danger to protect others. Please join us in prayer for those injured and our entire trooper community.

Pennsylvania's Latino communities are some of the most vibrant in our Commonwealth, filled with love, joy, and amazing stories of hope.

During Hispanic Heritage month, we continue to celebrate the contributions of Latinos in Pennsylvania and uplift their powerful stories, today and every day.

Workers deserve to be fairly compensated for their work, whether they’re a barista or a steel worker – and our unions fight every day to make that a reality.

As a son of a union bus driver, I stand with our workers, to ensure fair pay, benefits, & protections are awarded and guaranteed to everyone.

We've taken a holistic approach combating gun violence and crime in Pennsylvania – and we're seeing real results.

When we invest in evidence-based solutions to reduce violence, expand community services, and support our victims, we get results. And it's how we're getting stuff done in PA.

Time spent outside the classrom is just as important as time spent inside the classroom, and that’s why we’ve invested over $11 million in our after school programs.

Providing safe places for kids to grow, learn, and get exercise is how we create opportunities for success now and down the road.

Last year we gathered in Pittsburgh to announce a truly historic investment of $600M in downtown to make it cleaner and safer for those who live, work, and visit here. I'm proud to see all of the progress we're making in the place I call home.

Thank you for all of the birthday wishes this weekend!

Over the last year I got to travel across Pennsylvania, meeting so many of you, and working to get stuff done for our Commonwealth. I can't wait to see what this year brings!

Let’s work!

Blayre and I are praying for the officer who was shot in the East Hills neighborhood of Pittsburgh this afternoon.

Our police officers risk their lives everyday to protect our communities. All of Pennsylvania is keeping the officer, his family, and Pittsburgh Police in our prayers tonight.

It's a new day in Pittsburgh.

We're making significant progress in the 10-year revitalization plan that will see an investment of $600 million to make downtown safer and cleaner for every yinzer.

This is how Pennsylvania is getting stuff done.

Pennsylvania is committed to providing clear, science-based guidance for vaccines so that Pennsylvanians and health care professionals have the freedom to make the best decisions for their health and safety.

To every Pennsylvanian who celebrates, Blayre and I wish you a meaningful and reflective fast on this Yom Kippur.

Getting vaccinated against the flu, COVID, and a handful of other diseases is about taking responsibility and protecting your family from harmful and life-threatening illnesses.

Our Administration is committed to sharing accurate information so that you can make the best decisions for your health.

At midnight, the federal government shut down because Congressional Republicans wanted to continue on their war path of closing federal agencies, defunding essential programs, and kicking millions of Americans off of their healthcare.

We must fund healthcare and it must be affordable.

As a father, son, and husband, I see it as my responsibility to get vaccinated so I can keep myself and my family safe this flu season.

Speak with your doctor today and get vaccinated against the flu to protect yourself and your community this year!

Gun violence is uniquely an American problem, but it is one that we can and must do something about. We are uplifting the entire state of Michigan in our prayers.

Blayre and I are heartbroken for the victims, families, and the community of today's senseless attack on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Americans deserve to both be safe and feel safe in their schools, communities, and places of worship.

When victims of crime are able to receive care for their trauma, they heal quicker and become more active, vibrant, and successful members of the public faster.

That’s why full funding for our victim recovery programs is so vital. And it’s time to get this done for Pennsylvania.
lgaustindavis.bsky.social
For victims, the Victim Compensation Assistance Program is a lifeline. It can help with lost wages, crime scene clean up, and medical costs not covered by insurance.

But right now, funds are dangerously low. State and federal lawmakers must direct dollars to this program now.
lgaustindavis.bsky.social
In previous budgets, Democrats and Republicans have come together to address victim-funding deficits and fill a crucial need in our communities.

We must work together again and deliver for our Pennsylvania’s crime victims.

I'm saddened to hear about the stabbing incident this morning at Pittsburgh's Carrick High School. Violence in any form is unacceptable in our schools.

Blayre and I are keeping the students who were injured and their families in our prayers as well as the entire Carrick community.

While no financial assistance can undo their trauma, the victims compensation program plays an essential role in helping survivors rebuild their lives. These programs need federal and state dollars now – turning our back on victims in not an option.
lgaustindavis.bsky.social
Without a state budget and the increasing federal funding cuts, our victims service organizations are running dangerously low on funds.

I’m calling on Congress and our state lawmakers to support our victims and the critical investments in our recovery programs.

Blayre and I send our warmest wishes to those celebrating Rosh Hashanah tonight!
