Last week I read an interesting piece by @zionlights.bsky.social on how Finland is countering 'fake news' through educating children.

It got me thinking - are there lessons from the Finnish model that we can replicate in #DRR?

Good communication is at the heart of #disaster preparedness. If people cannot understand or trust a warning, it will not work.

We need messages shaped for real communities, in the right languages and formats, and tested with those they are meant to reach.
