Well, we have a completely different ethos. I can appreciate we are not perfect but Canada is vastly different in many ways. We have not let the military bankrupt us and our social safety nets to help each other is a fundamental strength. They only way we die is if America invades.

I would argue you the US has always been heading here since its inception. Its failure to deal with slavery , women's rights and financial inequality has been the drum beat that has not been heeded. It began in violence and it will consume itself in the end.

If there is any funding on the line for Israel then AIPAC Jeffries and AIPAC Schumer will cave. Why meet? A Bipartisan funding bill is all that is required.

We have let them define what centrist is when in reality its extremely to the right of any centre. In Canada, your Democrats are seen as a party well to the right.
