I’m doing research on help-seeking behaviours in people who use helplines for alcohol, other drugs, smoking, and gambling concerns. I’m just about to hit my 6th month of my PhD. Would love to connect with people who do research on behaviour, help-seeking, addiction, and helplines.

I think this is probably the best that people can offer. Unfortunately when people develop an identity around a figure like Trump; facts, reason and truth don’t matter anymore. They want to be ‘winners’ and they want to rub it in the faces of people who they see as losers.

I’ll be doing that for the first time next week. 😬

Depends on your environment. I’ve read a lot about students really suffering and I feel awful for them. It’s hard to imagine a career in academia without support from colleagues. The people I work with in Melbourne are amazing, I always feel supported. A collaborative environment is a must IMO.
