Right to left can also be about returning home. It's why the Enterprise at the beginning of ST III is filmed going right to left... the ship is heading back to Earth. So it makes sense in Stick Man because he's heading back to the Family Tree.

I should bloody hope not!

Same, and I would have definitely used that loophole. Maybe it's an American Catholic thing? I'm pretty sure there are a few European countries that open their pressies on the 24th.

Ooh, nice ad hominem. You are definitely just full of good faith arguments, aren't you?
December 25, 2025 at 1:52 AM
I'm not sure that anyone who follows Nick Cohen can claim to be on the side of "protecting women".
December 25, 2025 at 12:30 AM
Same. I have an idea that it might have happened around the same time as they were doing one of the cartoons, probably to make Walter a more viable antagonist.
December 24, 2025 at 1:50 PM
Ah yeah. Closed captioning = subtitles.
December 24, 2025 at 12:08 PM
They mean the same thing, but they're still different words. It'd be like if the subtitles decided to spell Rubbish as "trash".
December 24, 2025 at 12:01 PM
At what point did they start writing Walter as a little git who was more of an actual bully than Dennis was?
December 24, 2025 at 11:55 AM
And then Sam looks confused, as if Gonzo isn't really there.
December 24, 2025 at 10:13 AM
He's located the Nemesis
At the bottom of a lake

Scrooge also pets Gonzo and Rizzo at the end, so could he actually see them in every scene and was just ignoring them commenting on his life?
December 23, 2025 at 11:26 PM
I thing the hard bit wouldn't be the graphics, but the tangibility and scale. Like, it could make a convincing room, but you'd all have to stick together and no-one could walk out the door.

The UESPA officer known as Lieutenant Commander Spock from Vulcania would disagree with you!
December 22, 2025 at 9:16 PM
But by that time they'd gotten rid of the big light/window on the model so what was he looking in to?

(Probably should have been the definite window in the ceiling the Bridge has, but then they'd have had to actually build that)
December 22, 2025 at 9:06 PM
Triangles instead of squares?
December 22, 2025 at 9:05 PM
Wait, does that mean it's bad being poly and you're making excuses, or it's good being poly and you're bad for ignoring it?
December 22, 2025 at 8:24 PM
Was the intention with the original Enterprise model circa WNMHGB that the big rectangular light on the front of the bridge section was an actual window and/or the viewscreen? Or was there no thought other than "big light pretty"?
December 22, 2025 at 8:20 PM
Another "fiddling with an already good design" idea. Yeah, the TNG holodeck was just some yellow reflective tape, but it was iconic and since the holodeck was already basically magic, it worked. DS9 and VOY just over complicated things.
December 22, 2025 at 8:16 PM
The thing there is that if you start down that line of thinking then you rapidly hit "maybe the command centre shouldn't be exposed on the top of the ship?"
December 22, 2025 at 8:14 PM
The viewscreen in FC was definitely a holographic projection that presumably just floated in mid air. For the next two films they reverted to a traditional viewscreen (that still kept the faux 3D effect, I think)
December 22, 2025 at 6:11 PM
I have it with Prime but not Megatron. I think it's because we have had less straight G1 cartoon Megses than Primeses due to the whole alt-mode issue. And yeah, SS86 Megs is still a tank, but it's a clever transformation and his robot mode looks great.
December 22, 2025 at 3:42 PM
Wait, isn't that Hill Valley?
December 21, 2025 at 8:38 PM
Oh yes!
