Preference transformation - views become more complex for all involved (including facilitators) during deliberations.

Yes - I certainly wouldn't advocate solely for CAs. Campaigning and direct action are vital in the short-term.

Citizens' assemblies do, however, offer a compelling model for how democracy might be safeguarded from incumbent fossil fuel interests.
