Quite honestly, the fact that Conservatives are defecting to the Liberals is a BAD sign and Liberal supporters can’t seem to grasp this.

Not to mention, the majority of 19th-early 20th century English writers in the popular canon to consistently survive shifting tastes seem to be women Eg. Jane Austen, Mary Shelley, The Brontes, George Eliot, Virginia Woolf.
