Finished my third short story. These are just for me right now, but the sense of accomplishment is thrilling!
I caught up with some friends yesterday. One asked what I plan to do in retirement (only weeks away now), and I said that I’ve started writing and will publish science fiction stories. She immediately almost squealed, “OMG - that’s PERFECT for you!”
This hit home for me more than I expected.
