Not reliably, no. But the results are useful enough to use as a starting point for potential binding sites, which can make confirming results experimentally a lot easier (at least judging by how my colleagues use it).

I was reading about how back in 2012ish, some expert was talking about how battery storage needed some kind of tech breakthrough, because a 10-20x drop in cost was required for it to be at all economically viable.
Well, no breakthroughs yet, but if you check the $/kWh over the last decade...

I think the point is that if it doesn't fit the genre conventions, you should avoid advertising it as such, not that the story should be rewritten.

On the other side, east Germany is much more nonreligious than the west, which contrasts strongly with across the border. Less cultural similarity maybe, but there does seem to be something unusual going on with the strength of the church in Poland.

I don't think is is a cultural thing. As someone for whom first name basis is very much the default, the formulation you describe ([first name], you're wrong because...) definitely still comes across as passive-aggressive. I think because, as you say, it's unnecessary in a reply.
