I feel so blessed today as I had the opportunity to help provide gifts to refugee children through the amazing group, Beyond90, in Jacksonville, Florida. The children were so happy and grateful. They made me this angel ornament which I will always cherish with all my heart.

The Diocese of El Paso is collecting used Spanish Bibles and Donations to purchase Spanish Bibles to provide people being held in CBP and ICE detention centers. I volunteered with Bishop Seitz and the Diocese of El Paso at a time when the U.S. still welcomed people. This is a great way to help now.

Remembering a heroine of mine, Heather Heyer, who was murdered 8 years ago for courageously advocating for individuals who were threatened by white supremacy marchers in Charlottesville, VA.

Ukraine is pushing the envelope on military battlefield medicine including a handheld device to detect brain bleeds which will save many lives.

Thank God and the Cardinals for choosing Pope Leo! He was born in Chicago but spent most of his ministry as a missionary in Peru.

I was so blessed to attend Pope Francis’s speech to Congress and be among the many who he blessed that day. I have seen such an outpouring of gratitude for him from people of all religious faiths. God’s love for all peoples showed through his words and actions. May they always inspire us.

After seeing her attend President Carter’s funeral, I remembered the honor I had to meet Former Second Lady Karen Pence at Fort Campbell, and shake her hand.

The Chief Medical Officer for the Ukrainian military. We must continue to support Ukraine. They are holding the line not just against Putin, but other Dictators from China, North Korea, and Iran who are watching what we do to defend freedom there.

I volunteered at a refugee shelter in El Paso where I served the most courageous people. I will do everything I can to protect them from deportation and separation of their families.
