@npr.org That’s why I have curbed my support. Flimsy journalism.

Libby. Get a library card, and it’s free. If you’re in California, you can try the Palace app—CA has paid for ebooks and audiobooks for CA residents.

Once you get into the habit, and you know what you like, for me, I prefer reading over television. I still watch some shows, but reading is usually so much more compelling.

Yeah… I have not been there since January, and I will not be going back again. Finding things elsewhere.
They put the CEO on their board! 🤢

I don’t think anything will budge MAGA, either. Their mental gymnastics and lack of any real values are honed skills at this point.

But, for the most part, his supporters still don’t blame him. It’s mind numbing.

Kobo connects to your Libby/Overdrive account. Ebooks are sent straight to the Kobo from your library.

Whenever my daughter sees me speaking to a stranger, she asks me, “You were telling them about Libby, weren’t you?”

Happy reading!!!! And listening!!
The Kobo is a great, non-Amazon, eReader if you find yourself reading a lot more.

Let’s not forget John Boehner who took it to yet another level and refused to work with Obama.

What did you just make me read??? 🫣
November 5, 2025 at 5:22 AM
I hope so, but I don’t think we’ve reached any sort of tipping point. Too many MAGA’s still watching Fox, still ignoring what’s happening, or simply love the xenophobia and racism too much to care.

I’m so close to stopping my evergreen donation… this is malpractice.

Thank you, Kai. Just a ridiculous headline.

Saw a clip of young men, farmers from Michigan, maybe. It was just depressing—they were still all in for Trump, convinced things would be worse under Harris. 🤯 As if this didn’t happen last time Trump was pres. And they’re feel so entitled to government bailouts-apparently socialism is ok for them!
October 2, 2025 at 2:54 AM
What good was your reporting anyway? Both-siding Trump’s lies is close to unforgivable. You too reap what you sow.
October 2, 2025 at 2:44 AM
Oh yeah, got a call from my local station asking if I would up my donation. No! NPR is lucky I didn’t stop my donation after the mediocre, pandering, tepid reporting of the last ten years. I haven’t listened since November. Crappy headlines from NPR on social media will keep me away.
