This is a strawman. No one was angry at her for speaking out about the threats to democracy. People were angry because instead of owning the narrative and countering the opponents, she just ran as a Republican-lite. Anti-immigrant, pro-war, not nearly enough promises to the many suffering poor.

She could have rallied and energized her own base and instead abandoned them to rake in "Defense" industry cash.
