Every time I hear someone say that Mamdani being Mayor means that we must have "Forgotten 9/11", I want to take them gently aside and explain: "You ... you get that different people of the same race/creed/religion don't all think and act the same, right? Like ... that's why bigotry is bad.

I always wonder why people in red states vote against their own interests, but Hell, *I* vote against my own interests! I'm an upper middle class cis white man! I should be voting ALL the way to the Right! But actually have care and empathy for other people. 🤷♂️

It's actually kind of scary how Trump is describing the dementia test (and saying how @aoc.bsky.social could never pass it) by telling people: "You have a tiger, an elephant, a giraffe"; and then the actual test shows literally a lion, rhino, and camel. I know its been a while but all three wrong?

When Trump was elected in 2016, I was calling out his racism, misogyny, etc., a MAGA relative said: "He doesn't have to be your best friend, he just has to run the country"! Since then, he's done things to screw over his base. Because he has no DECENCY. That's where the sexism & racism comes from.
