This had slid past me in all the noise. Now I have something else to write my Congress critters about.

We had craft night this week and painted these cool wooden forms. They all came out so cool, and different!

But at least they haven't gotten to the idea yet that I can't be a member on my own using my salary. That's crazy. Sheesh!

My library is one of those where the board has forced disaffiliation. We are not able to use library money for anything ALA, or SCLA, as it's the state affiliate, including staff time for professional development through them. It's maddening.

Also, how do you defund an organization that is not publicly funded?

We are so busy trying to make sure they don't read anything "controversial" that we make reading seem dull.
