DYK...the phrase "mad as a hatter" comes from the late 18th-early 19th centuries when haberdasheries used mercury nitrate. The exposure to this metal over time caused them to develop symptoms making people believe they were mad.

Research on AI literacy and its impact on education is an emerging area, and it’s rapidly evolving. On 9/17, the @cmu.edu community gathered in Hunt Library to celebrate #ConstitutionDay 📜 with a hands-on, drop-in workshop.

Guests crafted their very own pocket-sized U.S. Constitution and the League of Women Voters were on-site to help new PA voters get registered. library.cmu.edu/about/news/2...

Two students use pages from discarded magazines and other craft materials to decorate the covers of their Constitutions.

Executive Assistant Anne Kramer and Development Associate Najah Magloire flip through pocket-sized copies of the U.S. Constitution.

Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences junior Zach Berger, who is a Voter Engagement Intern majoring in Social & Decision Sciences, staffs a table to help attendees register to vote.

Attendees enjoy snacks while working on their hands-on activity.
