Middle-school librarian, reader, video gamer, crocheter, baker. I'm the girl for your apocalypse team.
She/her.
I'm reminding myself that I should not eat tortilla chips and salsa verde for dinner EVEN THOUGH tomatillos are green and a vegetable, more or less.

@brucecoville.bsky.social is the reason I'm a librarian today.
In 3rd grade, I read a review of The Ghost Wore Gray, and begged my dad to take me to the library that night to get it. Library didn't have it, so they bought a copy for me. That's when I knew libraries were magical & where I belonged.

Can confirm. Worth the $5ish to remove ads. There's a stripped-down version, JigLite, that uses less battery & lets you select multiple pieces at once, BUT it skips over the 441-piece size that my old eyes find ideal on the tablet. (1000+ or bust for a real, take-over-the-table puzzle, though.)

This book was great! Hard to make this more a book for me: post-collapse American setting? Librarians fighting fascism through the distribution of subversive materials (and sometimes subversives)? Figuring out queer identity?
Yes, yes, and yes.
It was really short, that's my only complaint.

I know your dad was a writer whose Great American Novel Huck Finn was taught in nearly every high school in America

Also only the far left edge of the space bar works and some administrative setting is keeping me from logging into Chrome to access my bookmarks or Google Drive; so glad that he's fixing the chipped corner of the case on my laptop
