The Olsen book is a tough book to read, emotionally. I have to take it in small doses.

I'm addicted to true crime. Have read previous books by Olsen. A member of my poetry writers group recommended the poetry instruction manual. I read a lot of history and biography. The wilderness adventure was for my wonderful husband who used to conduct river rafting trips in his younger days.

Be proud of yourself. Being willing to suck is the first step to sounding great, a step that many people don't have the guts or motivation to take. (And of course, that's also a legitimate choice.)

When I finish a book that was wildly popular, but that I hated, I go on Goodreads and read all the 1 and 2 star reviews to help me clarify and articulate my negative reaction. It reminds me I'm not alone in my opinion.

Had this at a Greek festival and been making it ever since.

Bought it from Bookshop.org, resd it, loved it, donated it to Friends of the Library for their used book sale so someone else can enjoy it.

Yeah, too hard to read for old eyes like mone. A word here and there for emphasis or a sentence or two of someone's thoughts, fine. Whole chapters? Ick.

I used to write for the confessions, as did many of my friends. In addition to stories, each magazine had different types of essays, columns, and household hints. One by one, they ceased publication, but until then, they were great paying markets, especially for beginners.

Depends on where you live, I guess. I've found excellent books. 3 examples: The Wager, A People's History of The United States, and a biography of Peggy Guggenheim.

Just listened to my first episode. I really like the short format. Makes it easy to fit them into odd moments of down time. The scripts are streamlined, not bogged down in pointless speculation, but still include all the relevant facts. Good work.

Actually, Girl scouts was a help for me. Campfire stew, pocket stew, toad in the hole, walking salad.

Who pays for shipping? Not me. I buy printer ink from Office Depot or Best Buy, diabetic supplies from Diabetic Warehouse, all with free shipping. 1 or 2 day delivery. Costco also delivers free. Not available in all locations. Keep track of needed supplies and plan ahead.
