Besides our near catastrophic collision with a load of Lime batteries, we were fascinated to see hundreds of Paramount Theater visitors lined up over I-5 and being exposed to freeway noise and fumes. Seems like a lid park here could solve that and be a good place to hang out before a show.

Full house here at our first 2025 Beer + Culture event at Mithun to discuss how we form a vision for reconnecting Seattle over I-5.
Still, it's better than what was there before, and it's a fine design considering that the project is in Seattle's highest income neighborhood and next to just a few million+ dollar homes. We'll do better Downtown where thousands of people with a mix of incomes in dense housing need more open space.

We braved wind and rain with the community to check out the new Montlake Lid and walk/bike bridge. The project is a great addition to the non-motorized and transit networks but still feels like a very suburban environment with leftover landscaping and a lot of concrete and asphalt.
