I don’t know what the cliche would be here, though. I’m guessing you’re supposed to see “progressive” (which I actually missed somehow) and insert your own reasons you’re upset with them? My first thought was about DEI, even though that doesn’t on its face have anything to do with slavery.

I believe you’re probably correct since that’s really the only way they can go if they’re talking about the left. I just can’t imagine what they could mean. Like, there’s an implication here that’s supposed to be planted in the reader’s mind, but what? Is it formless, or is there an actual lie?

I don’t know what this means. Like, you’re saying The Atlantic would be racist? I genuinely can’t think of what you have in mind. I can’t think of what The Atlantic is trying to say about “the left”. I don’t even know if they’re talking about leftists or liberals.

To be fair, I don’t know if Jews or sects of Jews believe in earthly divine punishment or in punishment in an afterlife, but I was more trying to gesture towards a concept rather than a literal interpretation.

I’d never heard of a mezuzah and checked Wikipedia for it. I then had to click many different links to understand the explanation. A lot of history and culture, and they disrespect it all just to blaspheme. These people don’t believe in divine punishment or they wouldn’t do this.

Lots of replies here that equivocate to not wanting to see a woman win the presidency. The women who have tried to run before and secured the primary have sucked and they both ran against Trump during a Dem presidency. If she were to go full bore with populism and progress, she’d win.

That’s what I was saying. It’s foolish to not acknowledge the influence Israel, as a client state, has had on America by bribing and blackmailing our ruling class. They’re also not even the only nation infiltrating us.

I don’t really know how to stop what’s already happening and what’s coming, but I hate it and knew this would happen for years. No one believed me, and now that it’s happening, no one really cares.

Sure, they may provide vanishing benefit to the US in the Middle East, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t rogue and corrupting. We’ll follow them into the abyss partly because the US government will accept anything Israel does but also because our politicians are implicated.

The Democrats have shown over and over they don’t care about what’s popular. They did it with gay marriage for the longest time, they didn’t try to restore abortion rights, and they’re doing it now with allowing ICE to continue to exist. They simply want to be “less bad” forever without progress.

The hope was Kamala could be swayed in addition to all the other bad shit never happening. Do I believe it would’ve worked? No. Do I think we’d be in the same situation we are in now only later? Yes. I voted for Kamala because I wanted to stop this and hoped for change that probably wouldn’t happen.

The only argument I’ve ever seen concerning that genocide is that both candidates were going to continue it and that Trump was going to cause a lot more harm in addition. 14 million people will die due to USAID cuts, and we have 3x the amount of people in camps as Germany before they invaded Poland.

I have a coworker who still believes we’ll be mining asteroids and that cryptocurrency and AI are the future. It doesn’t matter that I predict world events regularly and actually keep an eye on what’s going on with geopolitics and technology; he’ll just continue to believe until everything is ash.
