In pursuit of continued dissociation from reality, I picked up my first Jack Reacher novel (19th in the series). Writing is mediocre and structure is similar to a Dan Brown (another mediocre writer that I enjoy), but that makes it a breeze to read. Still reading, but this is book 11 for the year 👍

I started reading The Anthropocene Reviewed by John Green today. In the introduction he shares this quote from Maurice Sendak: “I cry a lot because I miss people. I cry a lot because they die, and I can’t stop them. They leave me, and I love them more.” This really hit me.
