That's interesting, I think that might be more prevalent in newer towns and suburbs in Klang Valley like Subang, and PJ. Because I grew up in the older parts of KL, Ampang, Setiawangsa; and I'd say I still retain a more "British" English pronunciation, that was how I've been taught English since SK
