Supporting Trump can mean a lot of things. But most Trump swing voters voted for him NOT for his bigotry (this is where the Dems get it all wrong) but for faith in his view of the economy—not, all this stuff.

A lot of Trump voters I talk to have no actual idea of the damage he's doing.

Everyone is capable of compromise and change and they do compromise and change, when they see that it is in their best interest. Having an open mind is more of a challenge. But that too is something a lot easier to find when people feel heard.

Seems like it would all be a lot less complicated if we had a universal right to vote, written into the federal Constitution...

The Republican legislature sued and asked the Supreme Court to overturn that decision, on the grounds that the PA Supreme Court had usurped the legislature's constitutionally granted authority to determine the times, manner and places of elections.

They got sued, and the PA Supreme Court decided that citizens whose mail ballots are rejected have the right to be given a provisional ballot that, if filled out properly, must be counted.

Respectfully, conversation is the only way that power can be shifted back into the hands of people who use it ethically. Civic dialogue is the shovel that digs us out of this mess.

It's human to want to maximize our comfort. But hard conversations are what make the world more just.
