This is absolutely not a reason to purchase something, especially in this day and age, where the discourse changes at an alarming rate since everyone is talking non-stop and we have FOMO algorithms. If you bought things based on this you’d be buying a new game every single day

If only so many PCBs didn't cost more than most people's salary for three months :D Also unfortunately a lot of the arcade games I'd like to play that haven't been emulated/ported require special hardware or peripherals, so a lot of that usefulness is gone for me too. Great think piece/info though!

I HOPE ITS YUKES

It’s understandable to think that, since they did make their own testing app, which is available on Steam, but it’s a G4IR kit inside their guns!

Yeah, MoCap Boxing was also a trip, I remember trying one in the arcade back in the day!

Blamcon is just a company that makes Gun4IR guns with custom shells, so *technically* they are mentioned in the post 🙂

Here’s the official list from Konami, and also note that on the models that have both an OV511 and OV511+ model, *only* the OV511+ version will work.

So true :) The shield mechanic came up a few years before Warzaid in Crisis Zone (and Raizing Storm a decade later,) so there’s a good chance Konami was inspired by what Namco was doing. And hell, Keisatsukan obviously kinda took the cover mechanic from original Time Crisis, obviously

That is correct, I was just playing “3” the other day and noticed the final stage used that title, and I’m quite sure it was for recognition, but Seigi plays and even has very similar stages to both Keisetsukan games

The other option is the official Konami Capture Eye camera, which was in the arcade machine, but a home version was released later that worked with the PS2 port, but it’s now obscenely rare and expensive if it ever shows up

I have a webcam that works, actually! But I wanted to also try playing with a pedal so I modded my gun and wanted to show the mod. There’s a specific list of around 15 or so specific webcams that work with it, I can share the list later if you like

This marks a rare time when real locations have appeared in a light gun game. It’s a lot of fun, though its sequel never got a home port, but this one is a fun and quick light gun ride with a compelling ranking system that begs to be played many times to master its stages.

The game and its sequel are technically considered part of the Lethal Enforcers series, since Konami stated that Lethal Enforcers 3 was a sequel to Police 911/24-7. Half the game takes place in the real life Little Tokyo district in Los Angeles, and the other half in the real streets of Shinjuku

Normally the game uses a webcam for motion detection to register when you take cover, but I also modded my Justifier to use a Time Crisis pedal for cover as well. I threw a brand new photo diode into the gun so the accuracy is a little closer to where it should be
