I woke with the last words of my dream on my tongue. "I will save you then." That unworthy creature? I guess if it had been a brother or sister to me, I could do that. I saw the star. It wasn't a dream, but I hadn't done those things yet. I then knew that I must find the path to begin. I understood.

This one is different I thought to myself, and more like the first. "I am darkness, you are light. I will swallow you!" It seemed to screech. "I want your light! Your role, face, tongue and purpose!" It wailed. If I failed and it took my postion, it would crumble. My job was simple.

"Look." The next one I could barely lay my eyes on, so mutilated it's form. "This is pain, sacrifice and death. Will you really-" "Yes, yes I will." "Then," it seemed to shudder. "Let us commence." I wasn't scared until it started to move, but it was already aiming my light and weapons.

The dark had seemed to settle, so I was surprised to find another in my way, and holding my lantern. "Claim it." It challenged. "Until you defeat me, your power is not your own." "Okay then. I will defeat both your power and my own." "Good!" It seemed thrilled, but I was already charging on.

The path and star led me forward. Another one blocked my way. "How have you gotten here?" "I followed the path and star." "Did you not feel the moon though?" Surely enough, the awful gloom was lessened by a pale moon. "You know how to continue." "I will learn." The moon seemed brighter at that.

I walked down that path and a brilliant star shone down from above. As expected, one showed up and challenged my right to idealize. "Look up, can you see that star." It did not expect an answer. "Almost." "Then fight me." Afterwards, I could see the star. It was something worth pursuing.

Walking down the path, I was met by another, glowing with an internal light who challenged my right to see. "You cannot save, darkness is your heart?" It seemed to ask more than state. "I am dark and not yet light." "I will show you how then." After a struggle, I understood and gained inner light.

It's so cute, but like, I keep on thinking it looks like an enemy from Pikmin or something. I'm so conflicted.

I want to tell new stories while respecting the original, but that won't happen if I don't make changes to suit my desires. Please, go purchase and play Touhou if you want to, it's a really good game. I'm nowhere near a replacement nor will I claim to be, because it's freaking awesome. o7

I'm including the events of every mainline Touhou game, adapted to fit the setting. That means it's a younger Mokou that lives in Gensokyo for Project Lightfall vs Touhou Project's 1300 year old Mokou, which I think is pretty cool.

That's quite simple actually. Lightfall doesn't have a Japan. It's gonna have a kinda interesting history in general.

In the future, but there was something strange about it he couldn't recollect. Upon waking, he found himself quite not dead. Instead a figure stood over him, offering him a second chance. He took it. That's where that story will end for now. There's more to write, but I'll think over that later.

OK, I think Timothy thought to take on the impossible requests set by Kaguya to win her hand. When he failed, he killed himself due to his honor being shattered. This obviously kick starts Mokou's story, but back to Timothy. After "dying" he saw had a dream where he saw himself with his daughter

Let's see, their stories mirror in some way. Ryouichi doesn't have a good memory, but I think Timothy does. I want that to be an apparent difference between their stories. Nearly every story in Lightfall ends up being more interesting than you expected. I'm getting some interesting thoughts.

I'm filling in some details in by the spirit, but that's just how I work. That vaguely outta the way I think Mokou's father reminds me of Ryouichi Fujiwara. He's named Timothy. I'm naming him that to mirror Ryouichi, because they're based on the same story. Heheh, I forgot I wanted to work on this.

Dude, I'm excited for the Fujiwara plotline stuff. I'm trying to figure out how Mokou and Iyozane are related because I think it's cool if they didn't just happen to have the same last name, but I'm currently puzzling over another youkai named Ryouichi Fujiwara. He's got something to do with it all.

Eheheh, so it's a lot of things, but more specifically it's about Reimu and Tsubakura to a large degree. I see them as some of the most central characters to many of the stories I want to tell. Reimu is a priestess who will achieve Godhood and Tsubakura is a scientist who will unite worlds.
