Sure there's some loud idiots, but most genuinely want an improvement in life standards
Work, Safety, Utilities, Money etc
And a lot of that is given up, to appeal to inner city 'saviour' voters who belittle Rural, kinda like you did

I think pressing on the scales to favour rural areas would solve a lot of problems.
Democracy is not great just for the sake of democracy, it's because it cares for the most.
So yes I do think having a 5% weaker vote, in exchange for the creature comforts of the cities is a reasonable policy.
