We had dinner at Elyse last night, and Chef overheard our conversation about Inn at Little Washington losing a star, and that set off a conversation where I learned a lot more about why they're losing cachet as an arbiter of fine dining.
And best dish of the night were the beets and carrots.

Took a stroll by the White Haus to see the devastation. And you kind of can't, the barricades are numerous and everywhere possible. Lafayette park's eastern third and the east side of the ellipse are fenced off also for that reason.
