Just the other day at the start of an episode Greg was gloating in his inimitable style that Alex was the show's inventor bu the TV bosses said he coldn't host it.

I’ve been called 4 times. Got out of one as it was within 2 years of the last time.
In the only one that wasn’t halted for who knows what reason, the prevailing attitude was “but what if he didn’t do it”. Erm, that is why we’re here. To weigh up the evidence, which was pretty damning, and decide.
