San Bernardino County, in the Transverse Range, 3400’. Pretty heavy wind, 6 1/8” rain as of 6am and I’m not going out to check again until it lets up! This is the little bridge from main road into our “neighborhood.”

When I went thru the fed academy we were told over and over to just accept that anything we did was being videotaped. And wasn’t it Republicans who mocked concerns over the more invasive actions allowed by the Patriot Act? If you didn’t do anything wrong, nothing to worry about?

And NPR did a decent story couple years ago on states that will try to claw money back from estates once the patient dies. Red states, in large part.

A relative just went thru the whole spend down thing w/her sister who was dying. It is brutal getting approved and, I’ve heard, easy to lose for “making too much.” But GOP Congress tells us millions of ineligible/undocumented were getting it.

As a lower level clerk, I nor my spouse could invest in anything significantly regulated by my agency. When one works for the FDA, that’s a LOT. I feel so sorry for Congresspeople. (Not)

100%! And there are too many sources of info on the controversy over this for anyone to plead ignorance later. That wasn’t the case for Germans during WWII but following orders was still not accepted as a defense.

I keep telling people, since minimum wage was last raised, Defense budget has doubled. Every agency’s budget has increased. But we’re supposed to be able to make it on the same $7+/hr?!

Haven’t seen this anywhere but I think it says a lot that the whole police escort thing is so she doesn’t have to go through security. It is also ironic she is calling whoever wrote the incident report “dirty cop” when a top Border Patrol chief admitted he lied in a critical deposition.

I am so disappointed, my husband got tickets for my birthday but we wound up w/my mom at the Emergency Room. She is okay, though, so it worked out the way it should. *I was carrying my “Summer of Love” tote from your 2014 San Francisco show!
