Exactly this. I’ve been getting that feeling for a couple years now.

Growth is good, stasis is acceptable for a time, but WSBK seems to be in an active state of contraction. 🫠

Yeah it’s just a rebranding of the same company. The business world is weird.

No. Carmelo Ezpeleta is still the CEO of renamed company.

Why? An F1 video pass subscription is already less expensive than the Motogp equivalent.

I was hoping to see Bulega earn a spot on the 2027 grid through his MotoGP testing gig with Ducati.

Unfortunately Silly season seems to be in hyper drive this year. The whole ‘27 grid might be filled up before Bulega even gets to turn a wheel on the Ducati 850 test bike. 🤔

It’s really something watching Quiles race. He’s got a tremendous amount of talent.

It will be fascinating to see what he can achieve under Marc’s tutelage.

It’s sad but hopefully eye opening. Even “famous” people can be financially destroyed by the tremendous cost of cancer treatment and other medical treatments in the US.

That and cancer rates amongst my Gen-X/ Millenial cohort are WAY too high.

90mph was sounding impossible to me. Then I realized Ski’s on ice would have significantly less drag than a boat hull in the water… 😅

I see Peter is trying to get a head start on making some new Brazilian “friends”. 😅

This seems like an odd capitulation. Pivoting from a very impressive but pointless and impossible mission, to a much less impressive and pointless mission.

Curious to see how this affects the estimated $1.5T IPO that’s supposed to happen this year.
(Hopefully negatively)

Was just about to say the same. It’s a great day to anything and everything outdoors.

They might be slow, but at least this Yamaha squad will be having fun in 2026.

The other squad will be slightly more uh… French.

I always enjoy your articles, but man this is the really good stuff!

Thank you good sir. More than happy to pay for this content.

Woah. Not a great start to a year that was supposed to be a reset of sorts.

I imagine a certain Turk is not very pleased about this.

First ever 1:56 on a Honda at Sepang.
February 4, 2026 at 3:26 AM
Very good to hear! I noticed the brace was gone.
February 4, 2026 at 2:21 AM
Mr Rins walking any better this year?
February 4, 2026 at 2:19 AM
It is interesting that Ducati uses so many hard angles, shapes, and profiles in their Aero designs.

Then there’s Aprilia with Organic shaped everything.

It’s surprising to see they’re still sinking time and money into the RHD right before it’s banned.
February 3, 2026 at 8:12 PM
I think people are going to be a little shocked by how much aero is still present in 2027. There is nothing in this photo that is explicitly banned by the basic 2027 regs.

The reduction in engine power might be the only thing that forces the factories to overall shrink the aero due to excess drag.
February 3, 2026 at 3:15 PM
Woah… that’s a whole lot of diffuser.
February 3, 2026 at 4:01 AM
Also: Make that tool out of Titanium.
February 3, 2026 at 2:57 AM
Amazing 😂😂
February 2, 2026 at 7:05 AM
I’m not sure if you’re trying to troll me here, but a V2 isn’t even allowed by the rules…

Every single bike on 2027 MotoGP grid will have a V4 engine with the exact same Bore x Stroke.
February 1, 2026 at 7:58 PM
There’s only one thing going away that makes Ducati dominant. That is the ride height device.

Aero is still going to be massively important in 2027 and Ducati still reigns supreme in that area. They also have a massive head start when it comes to optimizing a chassis around Pirelli tires.
