Found this little danger floof chilling on my garage door. So they got a first class ride on firewood airlines to the tree in the back yard.
Fairly certain it's a Hickory Tussock Moth Caterpillar based on photo comparison with a PSU article.

The general house consensus is the fruit were actually nectarines. My thought is that the fruit lost too much of what little juice it had while I was trying to soften it on the stove.
